II Congreso Internacional de Filosofía y Ruralidades: Revisitando el hábitat de pensamiento intergeneracional

La Red de Filosofía en el mundo rural, FiloPueblos, presenta su II Congreso Internacional sobre Filosofía y Ruralidades, organizado en colaboración con el Ayuntamiento de Teverga y que tendrá lugar en la casa de cultura de San Martín de Teverga los días 9 y 10 de noviembre de 2024. 

En el I Congreso Internacional de Filosofía y Ruralidades, organizado por la Sociedad Asturiana de Filosofía en colaboración con la Universidad de Oviedo y la revista Soberanía Alimentaria, que tuvo lugar en la aldea de Porrúa los días 6, 7, y 8 de octubre de 2023, se analizaron las diferentes áreas del pensamiento filosófico en relación al mundo rural. La emergencia del tratamiento de estas cuestiones dio lugar necesariamente a la creación del II Congreso de Filosofía y Ruralidades: Revisitando el hábitat de pensamiento intergeneracional. 

Los desafíos que se afrontan en este momento relacionados con estas cuestiones son de temática muy variada y su centro está en la vida y en el intercambio de saberes y conocimientos entre generaciones. Como se señaló en el anterior congreso, tradicionalmente se entiende la filosofía como una disciplina cerrada dentro del marco academicista y además, dentro de este, solo un grupo de personas muy concreto tienen la potestad para desarrollarla.

Desde este congreso queremos volver a reivindicar una filosofía creada por y para la ruralidad, que aúne antiguas y nuevas experiencias de las problemáticas actuales que se desarrollan en este ámbito. Cuestiones como el medio ambiente, la comunidad, el pensamiento queer y feminista, el decolonialismo, la ética y la moral constituyen lugares de desarrollo filosófico y queremos revindicar su importancia en el marco y contexto del mundo rural. Un marco donde las relaciones, los procesos y, en resumen, la vida, se desarrolla desde lugares muchas veces silenciados y despreciados. Desde este congreso invitamos a participar a todo aquel que tenga algo que decir sobre la filosofía y la ruralidad, entendiendo estos dos ámbitos no como una dicotomía sino como un fondo indisociable.

Aunque la selección de propuestas tendrá unos criterios muy amplios, proponemos CINCO temáticas principales:

• Educación en (y desde) el mundo rural.

• Epistemologías e injusticias hermenéuticas. 

• Feminismo y ruralidades subalternas.

• Antropología filosófica del mundo rural.

• Ética y moral en los comunes.

También valoraremos propuestas tanto escritas como audiovisuales y/o escénicas de otras temáticas que se ajusten a la justificación del congreso, e.g. estética, artes, tecnología, etc.

Los resúmenes tendrán una extensión máxima de 500 palabras, y se admitirán contribuciones en todas las lenguas nacionales del estado español, sean oficiales o no, además de inglés, francés, italiano, portugués, alemán, danés, faroés, sueco, noruego (tanto bokmaal como nynorsk).

The Network of Philosophy in the Rural World, FiloPueblos, presents its II International Congress on Philosophy and Ruralities: Revisiting the habitat of intergenerational thinking, which will take place in San Martín de Teverga, Asturias on 9 and 10 November 2024. The congress is organized in collaboration with Teverga municipal government.

In the I International Congress on Philosophy and Ruralities, organized by the Asturian Society of Philosophy in collaboration with the University of Oviedo and the journal Soberanía Alimentaria in the Asturian hamlet of Porrúa on 6-8 October 2023, we analyzed the different aspects of philosophical thought in relation to the rural world. The emergence of granting a continuity to addressing these philosophical issues necessarily led to the organisation of this II Congress of Philosophy and Ruralities: Revisiting the Habitat of Intergenerational Thought. 

The challenges that we are currently facing as a society are very varied and, however, very closely interlinked to the essence of life and the exchange of wisdom and knowledge between generations. As it was pointed out at the previous congress, the discipline of philosophy has been traditionally understood as a closed discipline within the academic framework, and moreover, only a very specific group of people have had the power to develop it.

With this II International Congress on Philosophy and Ruralities, we intend to claim (again for a philosophy created by and for the rural, which brings together both old and new experiences on the (same) current problems that ocurre in this area. Issues such as queer, feminist, and decolonial thought, the environment, the community, the ethics, and the morality constitute remarkable places of philosophical engagement that we want to vindicate in the context of the rural world. A framework where relationships, processes, and, in short, life itself, develop from places that are often silenced, despised (and even condemned). For this congress, we invite to participate to anyone who has something to say about philosophy and ruralities, understanding these two areas not as a dichotomy but as an inseparable background.

Although the selection of proposals will have very broad criteria, we propose FIVE SESSIONS on the following main themes:

• Education in (and from) the rural world.

• Epistemologies and hermeneutic injustices. 

• Feminism and subaltern ruralities.

• Philosophical anthropology of the rural world.

• Ethics and morality in the commons.

We will also consider both written and audiovisual and/or scenic proposals on other themes that fit the justification of the congress, e.g. aesthetics, arts, technology, etc.

Abstracts will have a maximum length of 500 words, and contributions will be accepted in all national languages of the Spanish state, whether official or not, as well as English, French, Italian, Portuguese, German, Danish, Swedish, Norwegian (both Bokmaal and Nynorsk).
